Hourly Student Jobs

The Libraries are often looking for student workers. We are a great place to work with flexible scheduling. We are committed to helping you grow academically and prepare professionally by gaining valuable work experience.

We have daytime, evening and weekend hours available to work around your busy schedule. Join us and become part of the Library experience by growing and changing with us.

If you are an UM student interested in working for the Libraries, here’s how:

1.    Click on the link below to complete and submit an online application.

Application Form

2.    Your application will be reviewed and if your qualifications are a match for one of our current open positions you will be contacted directly by a Library Supervisor.

3.     If you are contacted for an interview please make note of the unit and the name of the supervisor calling, as Library HR does not have a record of this information.

4.     Your application will be kept on file until the end of the current semester.  A new application should be submitted if there are significant schedule changes or if you wish to be considered for openings in other semesters.

We encourage Federal Work Study students to apply!

If you have questions on hourly student jobs, contact Lisa Warner at lwarner[@]umd.edu or (301) 405-9245.
