Born in Liebedian, Russia in 1873, Konstatin Igumnov was a Professor at the Moscow Conservatory. A pupil of Nicolai Sverev, Igumnov joined the Moscow Conservatory in 1899. Among his pupils were Bella Davidovich, Nicolas Orlov and Issay Dobrowen. He died in 1948.
