This information is for UM Libraries and USMAI staff. It applies only to mailing lists that have "@itd.umd.edu" as part of the address.

To Unsubscribe

1. Send an e-mail to mailinglist@itd.umd.edu 
2. Leave the subject line blank
3. In the body of the e-mail type: unsubscribe < list name >
   

Example: to remove yourself from a mailing list called "test," send an e-mail to mailinglist@itd.umd.edu  In the body of the email type: unsubscribe test

To Unsubscribe from all lists at once

1. Email mailinglist@itd.umd.edu
2. Leave the subject line blank
3. In the body of the email type: unsubscribe *

To Subscribe

1. Send an e-mail to  mailinglist@itd.umd.edu 
2. Leave the subject line blank
3. In the body of the email type: subscribe < list name >
4. You will get an e-mail back confirming your subscription request.
   
5. You will be notified by email when your request has been approved and subscription is finalized.
   

Example:  to join a mailing list called "test", send an e-mail to mailinglist@itd.umd.edu and in the body of the e-mail type: subscribe test

To find out which list you are on

1. Send an e-mail to mailinglist@itd.umd.edu
2. Leave the subject line blank
3. In the body of the email. type: which
