Post Your Professional Profile on the Web
This information is for UM Libraries' Staff.
Did you know you can share information about your job description, education, professional memberships, professional publications, and current activities on the UM Libraries' web site? Follow these easy steps to create your own web page.
- Email webservices@itd.umd.edu to set up your professional profile. Web Services staff will create a folder for you in the "profiles" directory on the Libraries’ web server, using your UM ID as the name of your folder.
- Choose one of the "Professional Profile" templates from the Templates and Instructions page, under "Specialized Templates." See Examples: Professional Profile, and then pick between the "Professional Profile (no image) Template" or the "Professional Profile (w/ image) Template."
- Create your new Web page by following the Instructions on the Templates and Instructions page. Populate the template with your information, and name it "index.html." Then, use WebSpinner to upload the file to the folder that Web Services created for you in step one.
- Finally, contact Denise Wright at dmwright@umd.edu and ask her to link your profile from the online staff directory.
