February 6, 2006 - Presentation Descriptions Presentation descriptions are now available.
January 30, 2006 - Minority Scholarship Congratulations to Rukmal Harvey, from Salem State College, recipient of the Minority Scholarship! Ms. Harvey's conference registration fee will be waived, and she will receive a stipend to aid her travel to the conference.
January 24, 2006 - Proposal Selection
After receiving a total of ninety-six high-quality proposals, the LOEX 2006 Planning Committee has selected a program of thirty presentations to represent the conference theme Moving Targets: Understanding Our Changing Landscapes.
Communication with presenters began yesterday, January 23. Anyone who submitted a proposal to the LOEX 2006 Planning Committee will receive a letter; if you do not hear from the committee by February 3, please contact us at loex2006[at]umd.edu.
Presentation descriptions will be posted on the Program page soon! (Prior to the registration date of February 10, 2006.)
October 26, 2005 - Call for Proposals
LOEX 2006: Moving Targets: Understanding Our Changing Landscapes, the 34th Annual LOEX Conference will be held in College Park, Maryland, May 4-6, 2006.
Please consider submitting a proposal for a 60 minute concurrent session as we explore how librarians and institutions are dealing with the needs of our users, new forms of technology, literacy competencies, ethical issues, and effective professional practices.
Proposal submission deadline is Friday, December 2, 2005 and all applicants will be notified by Monday, January 23, 2006.
