Corps of Cadets to Testudo's Troops: 150 Years of Student Life at Maryland

February 8 - August 4, 2006

Exhibit

The UM Libraries will mark the University of Maryland's 150th anniversary with a special exhibit, "Corps of Cadets to Testudo's Troops: 150 Years of Student Life at Maryland," during the spring 2006 semester. Featuring memorabilia, photographs, and documents from the University Archives, the show will chronicle the student experience in the classroom, laboratory, and dorm, on stage and on the playing field, in organized activities, and out and about on campus. Among the highlights included in the exhibit are original cadet uniforms, a may pole and montage of images from May Days of the past, beanies, the nineteenth-century student register book, and the original Testudo.
