Directions to Campus by Automobile
From Baltimore and Points North
Take I-95 South to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Take Exit 27 and then follow signs to Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Proceed approximately two miles south on U.S. Route 1. Turn right on Campus Drive.
From Virginia and Points South
Take I-95 North to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Continue North on I-95/I-495 toward Baltimore. Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Proceed approximately two miles south on U.S. Route 1. Turn right on Campus Drive.
From Virginia and Points West
Take I-66 East or I-270 South to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Go East on I-495 toward Baltimore/Silver Spring. Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Proceed approximately two miles south on U.S. Route 1. Turn right on Campus Drive.
From Annapolis and Points East
Take U.S. 50 to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Go North on I-95/I-495 toward Baltimore. Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Proceed approximately two miles south on U.S. Route 1. Turn right on Campus Drive.
From Washington, D.C.(Northwest/Southwest)
Take 16th St. North, which becomes Georgia Ave. North at Maryland/D.C. line. Continue North to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Go East on I-495 toward Baltimore. Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Proceed approximately two miles south on U.S. Route 1. Turn right on Campus Drive.
Take Rhode Island Ave. (U.S. 1 North) which becomes Baltimore Ave. North at Maryland/D.C. line. Proceed through the city of College Park. Turn left at Campus Drive.
Parking
From Campus Drive
Continue straight until you reach the circle with the floral "M". Take the first exit from the circle to the right onto Regents Drive. The Regents Drive Garage will be on your left, after the first stop sign. Visitor parking costs $3.00 per hour in this garage. Alternate Parking
Alternate parking options for Hornbake Library North include the Stadium Drive Garage and the Paint Branch Drive Visitor Lot. Directions to these parking lots are available via the Department of Transportation Services.
After 4 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends, visitors may park free of charge in the Regents Drive Garage, to the north of Hornbake Library North. The third floor of the Regents Drive Garage connects to Hornbake Plaza by a walkway.
Directions to Campus via Metrorail
From Washington, D.C.
Take the Red Line train (towards "Glenmont") and get off at the "Gallery Place-Chinatown" or "Fort Totten" station. Then transfer to the Green Line train (towards "Greenbelt") and get off at the "College Park/U of MD" station. Get on the UM Shuttle bus for the free ride to the campus.
Directions to Campus from BWI Airport
The Washington D. C. Metropolitan Area Transit Authority offers BWI Express Metro bus service between BWI and the Greenbelt metro station (at the airport, follow signs that say "Public Transit").
The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Buses run 25 times each weekday and 21 times on Saturdays and Sunday, every 40 minutes.
Take the Green Line Metro one stop and get off at the "College Park/U of MD" station. Take the UM Shuttle bus for the free ride to the campus.
