Gildenhorn Recital Hall
Thanks so a residency made possible by grants from the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Kronos Quartet returns to the stage of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center for an evening of works by UMD student composers. This annual event provides an opportunity for UMD School of Music students to refine their compositions with the help of professional players and have their works performed in public by a world-class chamber ensemble.
This year's DMA Composition students include Alexandra (“Lexi”) Bryant, Jonathan Graybill and Joel Pierson, who traveled to San Francisco to work with Kronos on their compositions, shaping and refining their work for Kronos’s public performance at the Center.
