The Left Bank Quartet returns to the Clarice Smith Center for a performance of works by Beethoven and Dvorak. This chamber group, which features some of the finest musicians in the DC area as well as artists on the faculty of the UMD School of music, takes its name from the fact that the Kennedy Center, their first regular venue, is situated on the left bank of the Potomac. The Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library holds recordings by individual members of this distinguished group, as well as information related to the works featured on this concert, including biographies of the composers, scores, recordings, and videos featuring these works:
