![]() | UMD School of Music presents:UMD Wind Orchestra: Music from Prague Michael Votta, music director Thursday, September 29, 2011 8:00 pm - Dekelboum Concert Hall The University of Maryland Wind Orchestra presents a program entitled Music from Prague that explores the music of Czech-born composer Karel Husa. In addition to his prize-winning works for string ensemble and symphony, Husa has made significant and extensive contributions to the wind repertoire - one of the few composers of his generation to do so. In addition, the program of Music from Prague features works by Robert Kurka and Lubos Fiser.
