Great summer reading! In response to student demand, the University of Maryland Libraries purchased a "starter collection" of graphic novels, which is currently on the shelves of McKeldin Library. A graphic novel is a stand-alone story, in comic form, published as a book. Popular graphic novels include Alan Moore's Watchmen, Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, and Art Spiegelman's Maus.
