Library Services Desk
McKeldin Library has merged its first floor service points. The Information and Research Services (aka Reference) Desk and Circulation Desk have been combined on the former site of the Circulation Desk. The combined service point is now called the Library Services Desk.
Staff at the Library Services Desk can help you check out books, pick up holds or interlibrary loans, place materials on course reserve, answer questions about UBorrow, locate materials in the libraries, answer general research questions, use our printers, copiers, and scanners, and more. Subject specialist librarians are on call 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, and are also available by appointment, to help with more advanced research questions.
As a reminder, we also offer equipment loan, special-format (including 3D!) printing, and more at the TLC Tech Desk, on McKeldin’s 2nd floor. The Division of Information Technology also operates its walk-up help desk and technology store in the McKeldin 1st floor’s west wing.
More changes are in store for the first floor in the coming months, so stop by and take a look.
