The video programs described below are intended to help those users who are trying to improve their English language skills:

Connect with English (series)

This series is intended for foreign speakers who wish assistance in learning English. The general plot involves Rebecaa, a singer who travels across America. Topics include: leaving home, parenting, education, work, love, success, and loss. The series is made up of thirteen videotapes, which can be accompanied by a reading guide or teacher's guide. Each tape features several episodes.

American Scenes: an English Language Video Series

American Scenes is a 33-episode DVD/CD series designed to aid the intermediate level English student in improving comprehension and in mastering structures, functions, and colloquial language.

On Each DVD, two to five minute skits allows students not only to hear spoken American English, but also to see actions, gestures, facial expressions, and physical settings, thus providing a visual context which facilitates comprehension. Accompanying CDs are comprised of the audio tracks from the videos.

Inside America: Scenes of Everyday Life

"Inside America" is a 4 video, 150 minute series designed to introduce the viewer to American culture and institutions, such as the American government, employment in America, the various regional cultures, and traditional holidays. A 151 page guide is available to use with the videos.

Breaking the Accent Barrier

This is a 60 minute ESL "self-help" video designed to overcome the accent barriers that keep new English speakers from being heard, understood, and respected. The teacher is David Alan Stern, Ph.D., a leading accent/dialect coach and instructor. The video includes an instruction pamphlet in the box.
