Information About Placing Your Own Material On Reserve

Nonprint Media Services adheres strictly to the current copyright laws governing copying, distribution, and use of audiovisual materials. Personal copies of legally-acquired programs, including rented materials, may be placed on course reserve. Nonprint will not accept for reserve illegally copied or compiled programs, or materials recorded off the air without the written permission of the copyright holder.


All programs placed on reserve must be identified by on of the following copyright codes:
  • A - A legally acquired (bought, rented, etc.) copyrighted program
  • B - A duplicate program accompanied by written permission of the copyright holder
  • C - A legally acquired or created un-copyrighted program
  • D - A complied program compying with fair use coypright provisions
