Course Reserves
To make required course materials accessible to all students, faculty may place listening or viewing assignments on reserve for their classes. Lists of these materials are kept at the service desk and are arranged by course number and instructor's name. If you are putting your own material on reserve please call us at 301-405-9236
Dial Access
Dial Access is our in-house cable system meant for showing films to a large number of people. Films are shown Monday through Sunday at scheduled intervals.
Equipment
We have tape recorders, transcribers and overhead projectors available to UMCP and UMUC campus faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
External Loans
Faculty and staff may borrow films to show outside of the library to their classes. Students can borrow them for class presentations but must be checked out and returned the same day
Rooms
Rooms can accommodate 12 to 60 people. They are equipped with audiovisual equipment, including laserdiscs, VHS and DVD players, plus a computer for presentations. On Sunday rooms can be reserved after 5 pm and until 10 pm.
Suggestions for material
Nonprint welcomes suggestions and recommendations for new nonprint materials.
