Online Request Forms
University of Maryland faculty and staff may use these forms to request services at Nonprint Media. Upon
receiving a request, Nonprint Media Staff will process the order. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us

Materials are normally used in the Nonprint service area; students, faculty, and staff may borrow most materials for use outside the library by arranging an External Loan. This can be arranged when there is a need for the video in another location for classroom purposes.
Several playback rooms are available and equipped to handle a variety of nonprint formats. The largest rooms can accommodate 65 people. These rooms may be reserved by faculty when a media program is an integral part of a class presentation. Reservations are required! Use this form to arrange for Nonprint classroom use.
Dial Access is our remote playback system. Video programs which are assigned to a large number of individuals can be placed on this electronic distribution system and transmitted simultaneously to carrels in Nonprint Media Services for viewing at scheduled intervals, Sunday through Saturday. Use this form if you are interested in placing a video on Dial Access. Please note that most feature films (with the call number PN1997...) can not be placed on Dial Access due to copyright restrictions. Feel free to call us about individual films.
To make required course materials accessible to all students, faculty may place listening or viewing assignments on reserve for their classes. Lists of these materials are kept at the service desk and are arranged by course number and instructor's name. Use this form to request Nonprint-owned materials to be placed on reserve. For films that belong to you, give Nonprint Media Services a call at 301-405-9236 and we will assist you.
Nonprint loans audiovisual equipment to UMCP and UMUC campus faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Use this form to make arrangements to pick up equipment.
