Planning a Visit

The Prange Collection is open to the public by appointment only. Researchers are required to contact the Curator or Manager of the Prange Collection to discuss their research topics prior to using the collection. Due to staffing limitations, an appointment should be made a minimum of three days in advance of the visit. To schedule an appointment, please use the contact information on the right.

If you already know which material(s) you would like to use, please fill out a Material Request Form and send it as an email attachment with a request for an appointment.

Original Prange Collection materials are non-circulating and may only be used on-site in the Prange Collection. Microfilms of the newspapers and magazine collections are available in the East Asia Collection, 4th Floor McKeldin Library, and English-language collections on microfilm are available in the Periodicals Room, 1st Floor McKeldin Library. The microforms are accessible when McKeldin Library is open (see the hours of McKeldin Library).
