Course catalogs from the Maryland Agricultural College,
the Maryland State College of Agriculture, and the University of Maryland provide valuable background
information about the history of the University of Maryland, including names of professors,
descriptions of courses of study, and, prior to the publication of the first yearbook in 1897,
names of students. These catalogs (sometimes called Bulletin or Circular) have been
digitized and are available online. There are separate listings for undergraduate, graduate,
summer, and individual college catalogs below. Each catalog may be downloaded as an Adobe
PDF file, and may be searched individually. Hard-copy catalogs may also be viewed in the
Maryland Room of Hornbake Library.
