Keep The Vision Alive...
You can help to preserve the irreplaceable records of the Libraries' University Archives.
This unique collection is not only highly regarded and used extensively by the University of Maryland community but also has built a reputation that attracts scholars and researchers from across the nation and around the world. As myriad projects have evolved, such as the University's 150th Anniversary celebrations, demands for service and collection enhancements have increased exponentially.
The Goal
To build the Terp for Life Fund to an endowment level.
This would produce annual earnings enabling the Archives to continue providing access to these important materials, arranging for critical preservation projects, and building the collection in meaningful ways. Funding to support this goal is managed by the University of Maryland College Park Foundation. Once the Terp for Life Fund reaches $25,000, it will be eligible for endowment status, generating income, which will be used to achieve important milestones on the way to reaching the goal of $350,000.
-
At $350,000, the fund would support a dedicated graduate assistant for the University Archives, who would help with the heavy reference demands and the processing and preserving of materials.
The University Libraries invite you to participate with us in reaching the vision set forth for this very important collection.
