Applications Now Open for UMD Libraries' Research & Teaching Fellowship Class of 2024

Applications for UMD Libraries’ Research and Teaching Fellowship Class of 2024 are now open. Applications will be accepted through November 27, 2022.

Since 2015, the UMD Libraries' Research and Teaching Fellowship (RTF) has prepared MLIS graduate students to be evidence-based library practitioners who view teaching as both central and essential to their work as librarians. The Fellowship provides the education, training, mentorship, and support to enable students to succeed in a competitive job market after graduation, and we are proud to have a 100% job placement rate for all our alumni. Learn more about the history of our program, eligibility, and FAQ on our RTF program guide.

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and scheduled in late November and early December. Acceptance letters will be distributed in December, and new Fellows will begin their positions in January 2023.

For questions about the fellowship or to set up a consultation, contact Lindsay Inge Carpenter or Ben Shaw
