The University of Maryland Libraries in partnership with the Division of Information Technology and Division of Research have published a new open data website to provide a roadmap to the UMD campus community for how to manage and share their research data.

In an effort to organize cross-campus resources on data, the new site organizes information, tutorials, and links to campus experts and events into a four step process to plan, collect and manage, share and preserve, and document the data created in the process of conducting research. This resource will help simplify and illuminate how to make data open as the university continues to address mandates from grant funders as well as our responsibility to the public and our own academic community to manage and share our valuable research data.

Join UMD Libraries on Monday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 23, for a webinar with the Head of Open Scholarship Services, Michelle Wilson, to learn more about this new resource and hear more about the value of open data to you as a researcher and to the wider world.
