Aventures d’Alice au Pays des Merveilles.

Translated into French by Henri Bué.

Illustrated by John Tenniel.

Londres (London), Macmillan and Co., 1869.

This is the first French translation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The translator, Henri Bué, was the son of Jules Bué, the French lecturer at Magdalen College, Oxford, with whom Carroll was acquainted. Carroll selected the translator himself, and had considerable control over this publication.
