Chuck Howell

In 2016, after more than 20 years in a number of posts here in the UMD Libraries, I accepted the position of Librarian for Journalism and Communication Studies, with additional responsibilities in Film Studies and Hearing & Speech Sciences. I teach students online research methodologies and am also happy to assist patrons with any research or reference queries that fall within my subject areas.
I received an M.A. in Radio, Television and Film from UMD in 1994, and have contributed to several media-related works, including TALKING RADIO: AN ORAL HISTORY OF RADIO IN THE TELEVISION AGE, and THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO.
