Equipment Loan Program
UMD Libraries has a variety of general-use equipment, from calculators to projectors and plenty of things in between! Our general-use equipment is first-come, first-serve and typically cannot be borrowed overnight or reserved in advance. To borrow general-use equipment, bring your UMD ID and visit the Tech Desk (McKeldin 2nd floor), the STEM Library service desk, or the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library service desk.
Need to borrow items for a longer period of time, or looking for specialty equipment? Explore the options below to learn about our long-term use laptops, media production equipment, equipment for studying, health, and wellness, and more. To reserve long-term equipment, please submit the request form at least 24 hours in advance of your need.

Projectors, TLC has several different models of projectors including Acer, AAXA, ViewSonic, and AUKEY high definition Projectors with 1280 X 800 video resolution. Versatile Display Modes (Bright, Standard, Movie, Picture, Games). Equipped with HDMI and VGA ports. Built-in audio speakers. Loan period is 8 hours.

Slik Sprint Pro II tripods are among the on-demand production equipment offered at the TLC. They are great travel tripods and have a maximum height of 64”. The multi-angle leg locks on this tripod make it perfect for filming on steps or in other uneven areas around campus. Loan period 8 hours.
