Find more in one place with WorldCat UMD

Out-of-date Warning This news post is more than three months old and may contain out-of-date information.

By using the search box on the front page of our new website, you can find items even if we don’t own them. It eliminates the need to look in multiple catalogs.

Using the search box also helps you find items such as journal articles, e-books and digitized collections. That’s more content in one place.

This is a new way of thinking about research—and exposes researchers to lots more content.

Libraries used to stand alone. We’d buy materials, put them on the shelves, and point researchers to them using our local catalog. This is a far different model.

Here’s some of what you can find in WorldCat UMD.

  • Articles
  • Journal titles
  • DVDs
  • Government Documents
  • Historical Manuscripts
  • Print Books
  • E-Books
  • Sound Recordings
  • Dissertations
  • Music Scores
  • Internet Resources
