To compare and learn about different productions of The Nutcracker
Introduced by Dr. Susan Wiesner, Digital Humanist in Residence
It’s that time of year! No, not finals, but Christmas music and The Nutcracker everywhere! You might have danced in a production or played in the orchestra, and you are over it. But have you ever noticed the range of interpretations in the over 100 years since it was first composed and performed?
Well, here’s your chance to see a different Nutcracker, one that includes sections from traditional and contemporary choreographers such as Balanchine and Baryshnikov, plus Matthew Bourne, Maurice Bejart, and Mark Morris.
So come to the library and join us for an enjoyable & creatively festive break.
