Award for Undergraduate Research
Up to three annual awards of $1,000 each are awarded to undergraduates who impress us with their research. The awards promote the value and use of library services and information resources.

Award for Outstanding Gemstone Team
The University Libraries and the Honors College collaborate to emphasize both the importance of solid research methods and the use of high-quality information resources in student research projects.

Awards for 20th Century Japan Research
The competition is open to scholars in all parts of the world and from any discipline, but historical topics are preferred. University of Maryland faculty, staff, and students may not apply.
Funded by the University Libraries and the Nathan and Jeanette Miller Center for Historical Studies.
Katherine Anne Porter Research Award
Up to $2000 is awarded to support research and creative projects that utilize the Katherine Anne Porter papers and related collections in Special Collections and University Archives at the University of Maryland Libraries.
