Our Organization
Under the leadership of Library Administration, University Libraries is made up of four divisions - Administrative Servcies, Collection Strategies and Services, Digital Services and Technologies, and Research and Academic Services. The Libraries engage in shared governance and benefit from many memberships and partnerships.
Dean's Office
The Dean's Office (Library Administration) handles internal and external administrative matters for the Libraries, providing managerial leadership, strategic planning, resource management, development/fundraising, and direction of the overall operations of the University Libraries. Divisions
Administrative Services
Manages and provides services in the areas of financial management, budget and business services, facilities management, and human resources management
Collection Strategies and Services
Identifies procures, describes, manages, preserves, and supports the discovery and delivery of collections and information resources
Research and Academic Services
Provides and promotes quality reference, instruction, collection building, collection management, and access services
Digital Services and Technologies
Manages use of the University of Maryland Libraries’ digital assets in all formats and media, in all phases of their lifecycle.
