Equipment Loan Program
UMD Libraries has a variety of general-use equipment, from calculators to projectors and plenty of things in between! Our general-use equipment is first-come, first-serve and typically cannot be borrowed overnight or reserved in advance. To borrow general-use equipment, bring your UMD ID and visit the Tech Desk (McKeldin 2nd floor), the STEM Library service desk, or the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library service desk.

To reserve long-term equipment, please submit the request form at least 24 hours in advance of your need.

Fender Microphone,
Handheld Fender Microphone model P-52S, standard microphone for amplification, attaches to XLR cable. Compatible with our PA systems and any other sound system with XLR inputs. Must be reserved online 3 days in advance. Loan period up to 3 days.

Manfrotto Tripod extend up to 5 feet. Usually paired with a camcorder or DSLR. Must be reserved online 3 days in advance. Loan period up to 3 days.

Fender Portable PA System,
For loud sound projection, each PA system comes with two speakers, one with blue tooth compatibility or one wired. Each with a mixer that fits together to make the system compact and easily portable. Our handheld microphones are compatible with either PA system, as is any other input that uses an XLR cable. Must be reserved online 3 days in advance. Loan period up to 3 days.

HD Video Camera,
Zoom Q2HD high definition video camera. Each Zoom has a USB cable that can be used to transfer files to your computer in addition to a micro SD card. It is powered by two AA batteries. Recommended for recording quick, medium-quality video and don’t want to learn how to use complicated equipment. Must be reserved online 3 days in advance. Loan period up to 3 days.
