Our Vision

Just like other maker programs around the country, the JSG Makerspace aims to inspire and empower patrons to channel their creativity, intellectual curiosity and spirit of innovation. The Makerspace facilitates learning, building and gaining hands-on experience to complement multidisciplinary curricular activities, collaborative creation and creative problem-solving. Simply put, JSG Makerspace is a place where you can learn new skills, experiment, collaborate, create and thrive.

The Makerspace Initiative

The Makerspace Initiative (MSI) is a consortium of 25+ makerspaces from different departments and units across campus, with the common goal of helping each other provide the best experience possible for students, faculty, and staff. The MSI is constantly evolving, and we encourage you to keep an eye on the official MSI website to stay up to date.
